i've been working in the polytunnel day off work today ,
asked daughter what to grow her advice ,well
stay away from osr and barley
moved chickens out, they live in there in the winter helps turn over the siol and improves nitrogen levels ,tidied it all up ,moved the table for potting on ,to a more comfortable position ,dug over the beds and got chased by the geese ,
had a visitor and chatted about lambing for a while and his pigs , just about to go in and scrub the algey off the plastic _________________ where there's muck there's brass

That kind of sounds like a fun day I could do with a greenhouse or polytunnel myself but I don't know how much wind they can stand. Mind you, if you've got one on Lewis, then everywhere else should be safe.
Reminds me that I've got to get my veggie patch sorted. Snow lying for so long this year that I never got it turned until a couple of weeks ago. Bit late for putting some dung underneath and no soil breakdown by frost so we'll have to see how successful it is
Also, must resist temptation to just grow loads of peas.... _________________ It's the end of the world as we know it...

Nice one I can see why you'd be happy with more time on the croft but won't you miss bossing people around?
Don't get the Italy reference. _________________ It's the end of the world as we know it...

Yeah, probably, wouldn't surprise me
Had grand plans for a full veggie patch but as time goes on the more likely I am just to grow peas...
