I only ever used oxy-acetylene once at college for cutting. When I bought my own set-up my neighbour, (ex-welder) suggested I go for oxy-propane instead because it was cheaper and I wouldn't notice the difference. It's only now I reckon I've got a pretty steady hand on the old gear and think I can make reasonable cuts that I'm wondering if the difference is noticeable. Has anyone had experience with the two? _________________ Use a bit of bailer twine |

Thanks, it's good to have it confirmed. I don't really go near those thicknesses so if I can save a bit of money, I'm always happy. _________________ Use a bit of bailer twine |

I've only used propane. Seems to suit all my needs. _________________ It's the end of the world as we know it...
